Musings on Sand Bathing

sparrow1Twenty Little Sparrows Bathing in the Sand
No one to call them home
No one marking time
They flutter and rest
Flutter and rest until
I approach and disturb the sunless
Bathing with a schedule and a purpose
They cannot understand.
