Bending with the Wind

flowers1The long grass along the boulevard
Bends in the wind
Tips touch the ground
Up and down
It is going to seed
Seeds that will fall when the wind blows
That will scatter and flee
Onto the cement and asphalt
Onto the Sidewalk and the road
Looking for a crack or crevice
To lodge in, to germinate, to survive
The wind carries a clash of
Aspirations and expectations
For the grass, for me, for you
